The Strength Within

 

The sea mirrors a blue sky,

Spotless in a morning’s tide.

Washing upon the shore,

Daring to implore.

 

Its waves crash and land,

Holding wishes in watery hands.

Seeking a newness to begin--

The strength within.

 

Though turbulence beats

And it’s under seize,

It keeps moving with a grace

In all it may face.

 

Flowing at its speed,

The sea knows its need.

To follow its truth no matter the storm it’s in--

The strength within.

 

Ripples on the surface make way,

Causing its power to be displayed.

For what is beneath

Is its internal strength.

 

So, let your heart dream freely,

Until its destination it meets.

Dare to find your hope again--

The strength within.
