Angel of the King

 

A song sounded in Heaven’s chorus

As all of creation was joyous.

For the King was to be born

To light the world, love adorned.

 

The perfect plan

Fulfilled God’s promising stand.

Rejoicing in the truth to bring…

Angel of the King.

 

Looking after the precious gift,

The angel put in charge of the cherished.

Preparing the way

For the baby who lay in the hay.

 

A light shone

From the heavenly throne

As to the world he did sing…

Angel of the King.

 

The bright star lit the night sky

As the perfect guide.

Bringing visitors to partake

The blessed place.

 

Strong and magnificent, kneeling down

As the Lord was found.

Ever near, Jesus cradled in the wings

Of the angel of the King.
