Sounding the BellA Poem by Melinda McQueenSounding the Bell
It’s time to wake up O sleeper, time to shake up. A little less stress, A little more kindness.
Why not care enough When seeing a need, Sounding the bell with speed.
A call for peace, A cry for relief. Less killing, More kneeling.
Ever on the lookout For a lion waiting to pounce Seeking out the lost, Sounding the bell at all cost.
If the head must bow, Let it be in prayer now. For it is time to change Life as we know it today.
Love will always win, For even evil bows to it in the end. Love never fails… Sounding the bell. © 2018 Melinda McQueenReviews
