Voices

Just something I wanted to try out since people have been telling me what to do for awhile now, so just wanted to get my feelings out.

Voices,

That's all they are

 

Pain coated memories that  haunt me, 

Yet my tears never fall

 

The hollowness festers until...

 

Until when?

 

The darkness that is the hole I created eats at my hollow shell,

Licking at the little remains,

Savoring the pain I always cause.

 

Voices,

That's all I hear

 

Telling me to stand,

but I can only fall

Telling me to hang on,

yet I wish to slip away

 

Voices,

That's all they ever are

 

People come and go,

stay or leave

And I keep then at bay,

stay or leave

Only to bring more pain

 

Feelings shoved into a bottles,

Festering in the pool of hatred and self pity

Waiting for the time they may break free

 

Voices...

That's all you ever were

This has such an ethereal, haunting quality to it, Dark Poet. It's extremely melancholy, like going down, down, down a deep winding staircase, never knowing what's looming, watching and waiting for you just around the next bend. Voices...That's all you ever were.

lol I'm not blonde, and I'm currently debating for years now to publish some poems. :) hopefully I will one day. anyway, thanks for the encouragement indirectly given!
