SunLight

SunLight

A Poem by Butch Decatoria

It’s bright and early
Beautiful morn’

And I’m over the hill
Walking the dog
Mojo on the rocks

On our way downhill ride
What is up must rise
Conquer the worm
Chewing its tail end…

What’s the time ?
It is : bright & early

And over the hill
I fall in love
With the Sun/Light

“Oh beautiful mornin’”
Wonderful and full of heaven
(What’s there to complain about)

Oh yeah I so forgot
It’s a broken system’s
down on us"
These lives
Who experience the lively
Moments of Life
Mojo on the rocks.
Barefoot baby.

[The dentist says to his assistant:
“Fair? Fair is a weather forecast…”
And his patient in the chair
Wearing shades, replies:

“And so it is …
so bright and fair
A beautiful day we dare
Smile you’re a star!”

No, I’m over the hill
Man, what a view
My, I have missed / my sunlight / you
True to trust

Here now witness
To honor All love
Light up the Life
They thought they knew…
Blind in the dark

Hark, the sunlight
Bright, early, and new.

(Here still trying to love you)
