A Scroll Unrolls

A Poem by Butch Decatoria

A Scroll Unrolls
When in Time’s wisdom
One learns to let go
The weight of want & need
The insatiable pith of greed
And lust
The beast is yourself
To defeat
The enemy that you trust
When you must
Let go...
A Scroll Unrolls
Not one river to the soul
But all with Love
A Scroll Unrolls...

Man! i love this ... great wisdom and meditative qualities in your words and lines .. such a smooth read .. i followed seamlessly the journey .. but it needs and deserves reading over many times to keep ones head on straight .. "The weight of want & need" ... killer line says i! ... and "The beast is yourself" ... yep! ;} thanks for sharing these deep thoughts my friend. You kind of slipped off my radar .. someone reviewed an older poem of mine that you had and I says to me self ... wow! I haven't visited that clown nose for too long! glad i didn't miss this one.... puts my head in a good place to peek into the morning today .. love and joy!
