Quiet Criticism

Quiet Criticism

A Poem by RIch Hilliard
"

About a human flaw called being self conscious or self aware

"
The unknown destruction of quiet criticism
Victims left helpless, powers of hypnotism

Devils critique will leave dreams destroyed
Success is an option that the victims avoid

This disease does not vary everyone is susceptible
Brought on by one's self when one views one's self unacceptable

Only you know your greatest flaw
But you must forget it, or the wound will be rubbed raw

For quiet criticism is not done by another
But done by one's self and absolutely  none other!

To me, it talks about the critical voices inside that are taken in and adopted as truth, then making the decision to give them no importance and just be.

I agree with your words. We need to leave our mistakes behind us. Use them to educate and move on. Your last line was amazing. A excellent poem.

Wow! that was awesome!(:
I loved the 2nd stanza! The second line in the thrid stanza though...I sounds like theres one syllable too many, but I could have just been my inflection. At any rate, yes this poem is easily relatable, and I simple adore the last line "for quiet critisism is not done by another, But done by one's self, and Absoluetly none other!"
sweet job. keep writing(:

Yup! This guy gave me a nasty review many months ago, and the thing is...I'm only 13 years old okay? I'm not going to know everything about writing and how works with what. But that was over the summer, and a lot has changed, I've improved drastically. And I know I have. Nice write, your right in a lot of ways and this poem I think everyone can relate to. Great job!

This is a short poem about how we are our own worst critics. It is hard not to see our own flaws at times. This poem speaks to many people about that issue.
