*His Promise*

*His Promise*

A Poem by *~Poetic_Essence~*
"

I was inspired one sunday by a sermon that I heard in church...

"

My life is a numberless tape measure

Stretched out between Gods two hands

I looked to Him and He said...

"Every line big or small

Represents the bumps and problems

That you'll inquire throughout your life..."

And as I began to weep

He wiped away my tears and said...

"My child I have already made a way..."

very nice choice of words......"My child I have already made a way..."and the previous line..-----knocks my socks off..excellent..
"...numberless tape measure
Stretched out between Gods two hands"---love the visual this gives...very nice
i agree a tad with the review below--little longer..maybe..but it's great just the way it is.....i think "you" know when your work is done...no1 can tell you when to end your "message"..when it is finished..excuse the pun, and it really isn't intended....it is finished....

i do however would like to see some more of that play on words you started off with..with "tape measure and numberless"....
(one small note..i always try to capitalize any word [when] refering to God..)

i enjoyed your read...i do look forward to reading more of your work...
be well..see you around the Cafe...

You cannot possibly measure His love. I love the dream quality to this one. It honestly sounds like something someone would dream.

Very inspiring. I confess I've never considered myself a poet so I don't feel qualified to critique, but if this is any help to you, this is one of the most inspiring pieces of writing that I've read in a long time.

I really liked it. It was inspiring and motivational.

I like the line:

"'Every line big and small
Represents the bumps and problems
That you'll inquire throughout your life...'"

What does that make my life? A gallon of rocky road ice cream?

Wonderful write!
