Into the Night

Into the Night

A Poem by Jennifer Pennington

And on sheets of human skin
We both fondled every sin
caressed each blasphemous pore
with a thirsty tip of tongue
Begging for delicious sweat
And the fruits of this labor
Are ever so ripe
The time & the mood
Are all just right
And so after a few dances
In gluttonous wine glasses
We said goodbye to the world
That night
