Nostalgia

Nostalgia

A Poem by Poppletron
"

Tomorrow today, nostalgia's pain always burns the same.

"

Walking through forest corridors,

To things unseen I'll go, tomorrow today.

Through the haze of mourning and nostalgia's pain,

I reach for memories of yesterdays that never came.

Tomorrow today, nostalgia's pain always burns the same.

Talking with unspoken words.

Don't fret I'll still be here, tomorrow today.

Gazing through the haze of mourning, nostalgia's stain,

I reach for memories of yesterdays that never came.

Tomorrow today, nostalgia's stain always looks the same.

Stalking the ghosts of youth,

It'll still be gone, tomorrow today.

Held back by the haze of mourning, nostalgia's chain.

I reach for memories of yesterdays that never came.

Tomorrow today, nostalgia's chain always holds the same.

Knocking on the doors of change,

I wait for a reply, tomorrow today.

Lost waiting in the haze of mourning, nostalgia's domain.

I reach for memories of yesterdays that never came.

Tomorrow today, nostalgia's domain always feels the same.

Flocking to escape nostalgia's grasp,

We search for the exit, tomorrow today.

Longing for the light of morning, nostalgia's bane.

We'll reach for memories of yesterdays that never came.

Tomorrow today, and nostalgia's pain will always burn the same.
