Together

Together

A Poem by Poppy Ruth Silver

As I watch you
trace lines upon my skin
I sip from your vision
that which need
not be spoken

I know you weave
a destiny over
goosebumps and through
the aches of my soul

I can only arch
allow you to decorate
my flesh with your thoughts
for I weave a destiny too
invisible ribbons from my heart to You

That's purely a poetic verse i've ev'r read!
Fav. lines: "decorate my flesh with your thoughts"

Sometimes, such beautiful pieces make me saying that Rhyme's not what poetry's but poetry's what that belongs to rhyme, but above all, "thoughts" are what that get the heart in gear to get bled in whatever kinda benevolent words... for touching the beats of readers. Excellent work!

Mmm, Poppy, this is delectably sexy without being highly explicit! My favorite lines are "I sip from your vision/that which need/not be spoken," and "I can only arch/allow you to decorate/my flesh with your thoughts."

Because the poem only hints at what the lovers are doing, each reader can fill in the rest for himself. And in a sense, it's not only sexual, but spiritual as well (which I personally believe is the highest form of sexuality). Thank you for sharing!

Beautiful. Simply radiant and delicate... So much contained in these few lines. An amazing gift... moving the reader. Thank you.

Beautifully done. I love how intimate this was without going into too much detail.

-Really beautiful words, Ruth! Wisely chosen and wisely structured. One of my favorites of yours.

Silkily smooth… hot passions aching and arching to be unleashed. Nice one!

Beautiful and silky. I don't know if anyone would agree but your writing is silky :)
I feel a partial deconstruction of beauty, combined with an appreciation and it works so well

A beautiful journey into the touch and emotion. It is nice when we slowly open doors of passion with gentle touch and kind words. No weakness in the excellent poem.
