Four Candles Stand Alight

Four Candles Stand Alight

A Poem by Poppy Ruth Silver

Inspired by a poem from Avinash...wrenched my heart...

Four voices
four futures

Children are children
poor or rich
who will be their light
now they sleep

Four tones
threads of the world
unwoven ribbons
lost in the breeze

Four candles stand alight
to remember their dreams
I pray they can be the flame
that will help guide them home

Aw incredibly sad, but beautifully written. A wonderful tribute for lives cut tragically short.

beautiful tribute...the dying away of candle flames perfectly represents the ephemeral state of human lives.
