Ascension

Ascension

A Poem by Poppy Ruth Silver
"

The process of faith and following a Goddess known to transform you...

"

Not many hear Her
scream but I have felt Her voice
rip my soul to shreds.

Darkness, the crow brought
yet even in that darkness
I see Her red light.

Those wings, soft and smooth,
velvet in their caress, silk
like womb, darkness, tomb.

i was a little surprised by the darkness of your poem ..given your note and title .. but in your last verse you have closed in soft beauty and comfort .. the contrast is remarkable and makes your closing all the more emotive for me ..

ps interesting mix of Catholicism and paganism in the video .. i can't believe those guys wore lit candles on their heads ... yeow!

Ooooh, how exciting! Thank you sweetheart :)
the last stanza is intense - so much somberness is trapped within beauty

Thank you very much hon :)
The Muse is always there, but sometimes she doesn't let you speak.

At least how I feel sometimes.
You know when the words aren't right.

Exactly :) Thanks Jon :)
This reminds me of death. The screaming and the red bring this to mind.
