Iris adorn our garden with dreams...

Iris love a rain dance 

in early May... 

with silver touches

Visions of Mothers 

tending flowers... 

as Willows sway in 

wind-swept embraces...  

Colors of raspberry kisses

May is one of my favorite months - being that Mother's Day always falls upon it, and it is also the wedding anniversary of my parents. I feel it's magical, always reminding us of the awakening of spring and all things possible.

This is wonderfully captured Patricia. It made me remember my Gran and how when it was too wet to play outside, I used to sit on the kitchen countertop and watch all the flowers dance in the wind.
It also brought back to me the smiles, and the smell of chicken broth soup, which she was always magically making, like she knew just how many of us were coming to visit. Grans are magic like that :)
