'' Breaking Dawn ''

'' Breaking Dawn ''

A Poem by Dwayne J. Keeves

When at last the shadows flee to it's place of rest.
Let the coming day bring forth a light smiling to
stay. In darkness my soul feels as a slave, beaten
down with chains and ties.

Oh! Breaking Dawn my friend; Just how far away
do you stand? The pull of night has cold chilling
hands. It's eyes are black as earths stones.

The horizon of dawn makes it's way; at last the
sounds of coming light chases the fears away. One more
happy day I'm blessed. Breaking Dawn will once day
                       STAY!....

One cannot wish the night away but one can surely wish for day break for the sun rays as arrows from a divine quiver surely shatter the chains.

I appreciate the endurance of the spirit and the message of hope in the beautiful lines.
