Human Doings

Always going, on the run…

how my mind is racing!

Thinking that I need to solve

each problem that I'm facing.

"Wait a minute…you forgot,"

I hear God's Spirit saying,

"to spend less time in doing

and more time simply praying."

So today I'll try to rest

and heed the Spirit's wooing

to be a human being

and not a human doing.
