White Lie

White Lie

A Poem by Courtney M Watson
"

The dirtiest filth & the hollowest cries that fill your gasping soul with cyanide.

"
I wish I could watch the planets align
Standing on mountains made by mankind.
Washing our hands in the stream of mere mortals
clearing all their natural grime.

We are but only humans
the mistakes we fear are that of our own mind.

& I dream to have the scripture in mouth;
something so extreme, divine.
But all I hold are those words foretold
& the cavities of my own lies.
The dirtiest filth & the hollowest cries
that fill your gasping soul with cyanide.

Powerful and direct thoughts in the poem. You made the reader feel the hunger to discover the truth and destroy her.
"The dirtiest filth & the hollowest cries

The above line. Cold and honest. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Love the elegant word choice, paired with the dripping sculpture of filth you paint. Well penned....
