See Me

See Me

A Poem by Courtney M Watson

I wish I was made of windows,
so you could see right through me.
I’m drowning in this muck,
what mud!
& nobody can view me.
I am, I live,
I love & breathe;
some may say,
A being!
But tragedy is as tragedy goes,
& nobody believes me.
So I’ll sit right here & wrinkle my nose
until you open your eyes
to meet me.

I see You, Dear Courtney …

Clear as rippling crystal waters
of a singing mountain brook,
like warm, sparkling sunbeams
on pages of a lover's poetry book.

"I am, I live,
I love & breathe;
some may say,
A being!"
Love this passage, Courtney; that's what I say about you, and I believe it's true.

This is beautiful poeting, Courtney … the caliber that sends emotion flowing throughout one's senses in waves of empathetic yearnings to embrace you and tell you you're adored in every little way you deserve to be, if for no other reason than your heart has the capability to share and touch us in the tender ways your poetry has.

How wonderfully delightful it is to meet you, Courtney … my warmest hug of thanks for sharing You! ⁓ Richard ; )
