Gray

Gray

A Poem by Tom Friel

There was a time I understood
Not everything
But at least what I thought I should
There was a time I understood
The difference
Between bad and good

Yeah there was a time I knew right from wrong
It came to me as easy as a song
Nowadays I’m not so strong
Something’s wrong

Every day’s an endless sky
An endless gray forever asking why
Everyday more people die
I don’t know why

Where on earth do we belong?
Why is it so hard
To know right from wrong
Where on earth do we belong
Something’s wrong

Give it time
Give it surge
All that’s wrong we will one day somehow purge
Give it time
Give it surge
What’s the urge?

How I wish that it would rain
I’d take anything just to get a change
I’m so tired of all the grey
Just go away…

Just go away…

Just goi away
