Without you, I'll be-

Either a soul in sadness disguise, 

or a soul rising too high.

But it depends on me, which soul shall I chose to be.

When I read Farhan's review (below), I have felt the same way many times myself, reading other poets who paint a sad scene like there's no life without some other person. But to me, your poem does not sound like that at all. Here you are showing the honest way that some people must summon their courage to go on, after experiencing heartbreak, choosing whether to let it smother, or picking a stronger path of survival.
