Magical holiday

Magical holiday

A Poem by Prudence Desideria
"

Merry Christmas...

"

Merry Christmas…

Winter’s come again

Santa’s slay on the roof tops

Creating magic for a new generation

A few sprinkles

For us damaged ones too

Imagination

Is such a blessing, isn’t it?

Innocence

Is to smile when the red robed man

Bursts through that door

Jingle bells

The spruce shedding its needles

What a gentle hum

Of carols mixing with that smell of...

Happy wrappings

Or just a moment together

Family and friends

This is the day

To just feel warm

And spread our love

The pennies really don’t matter

I could care less

As would they

As long as there is light in the room

And Santa’s stopping by

Because then I know we’ll all be together

Happiness is this

Closing my eyes and hearing nothing but home

You, here with me

All of you

Merry Christmas

There is magic in the air

Can you feel it?

Time to be together by that green tree

With lights in the windows

Reminding us we are the lucky ones

Picture perfect family

Do you want to hear a secret?

It isn’t over-rated in reality…

…and a happy (hopeful) new year

I agree - christmas isn't overrated as long as one enjoys it :) There is a lot of hype, but once the magical day comes, really, who regrets it?!

Good write :)
