You're Not HereA Poem by Simon Welsh
I remember your dress of red and black
the scarlet angels above a sea of darkness Still it stands out in my waking thoughts when you wear those colours you're slowly drifting away from me I want to be joyous but you're not here I still dream of scarlet fields but it's all lost in the black I want to be joyous but you're not here You're not here anymore But these crimson clouds refuse to lift the green eyed devil is waiting in the grey Still I stand in my circle of uncertainty maybe I could smile if you gave me some hope because I refuse to allow my heart to bleed I want to laugh at all our memories but still dream of your regal crimson dress and it's lost in the black I want to be joyous but you're not here You're not here anymore © 2013 Simon WelshFeatured Review
