sparkle clockwork

sparkle clockwork

A Poem by Simon Welsh
"

whistle in the trees

"

say goodbye to blue skies

and the whistle in the trees

love was fleeting

but i'll enjoy it

as it slips away

i wish i were invincible

but i would regress

wish for a golden dawn

sparkle clockwork on the wall

little glowing words

say so little yet

mean more to me than anything

i wish i could sleep

among the ocean of clouds

i don't mind the truth

'neath a paper moon

everything is trivial

i know it's leading me somewhere

away from here
