reality is preferable
no matter how ugly it makes us
but i prefer honesty
to what you see in me

i'd rather live my life uncertain

who would make me question
dear old common sense

and idealise my Englishness
because who cares of my personality?
who cares if i have something to say?
we know you're already on your next pedestal
