I woke up on a beautiful Sunday morning,

it was beautiful because you were beside me.

I could count my blessings and my lucky stars.

 

Without you, I might as well be dead.

You might as well surgically remove my heart from my chest,

it will be the only way to stop the aching.

 

Beside me is where I want you.

For the rest of our lives,

I want you at my side.

 

I will protect you from the

potential harm of the cruel, cruel world.

 

When I close my eyes on a beautiful night,

I only wish for one thing.

Please allow me to wrap my arms around

your tiny waist as tightly as possible and never let go.

 

Allow me to protect you through the night

and into the wee hours of the next morning’s dawn.
