No truer words have ever been spoken, or in this case, sung. How many times have you acted selfishly for your own gain? Everyone tries to claim that they are selfless, that they always put others before them. Sure, I know many people out there do, but have you ever noticed that the people saying that they aren't selfish are actually the selfish ones? How ironic life can be. We're so caught up in our own glory that it destroys the good deed that one did to deserve it. As you can see, I've thought about this lyric many times as I listen to this song on repeat. :-)
