Waiting

Waiting

A Poem by Caleb

Waiting

Waiting Wait, Waiting forever;

In a line which ends for never.

Glancing around, from side to side,

In this dull chair I must reside.

A room, a chair, so many chairs,

The lady in front, without cares.

I wait for call, I come to tear;

I wait, I wait, I am still here.

Tapping pencil, annoyance reign,

To burst in hate I must refrain.

Watching waiting, what else to do?

Keeping me here, they will now rue.

Resting my head upon my palm;

The only thing to keep me calm.

Patience waning, where is my luck?

If I’m not called, I swear I’ll f**k-

Patient Nine-Two, we are ready.

Results to come, how so petty.

Even though the waiting was annoying, you got a great result out if it. It's amazing how easily a poem is written when you're in the right mood.

You've definitely conveyed the impatience bordering on anger, experienced while waiting (altho I'm not clear on what the wait is about . . . seems to be a medical waiting room of some type). There's a bit of repetition & the poem goes on a bit longer than needed, but these contribute to the sense of boredom while waiting too long. Tapping pencil & head upon palm are good visuals to SHOW instead of telling. I'm definitely feeling it & hating it!
