So Innocent

So Innocent

A Poem by Caleb

I don’t know how I’ll see;

When you have ceased to be.
But I know life that goes on,

When my “coming of age” will dawn.

Oh, how I’ll miss you greatly,

But I need you gone, to speak blankly.

I know that this will be painful,

But let not you leave be shameful.

Let me find the one that’s true.

Let love’s arrow not miss her cue,

But for the love and sake

Do not let my heart break.

Maybe forever, you are to be,

But people will make fun of me.

Truly, I do not wish you to be around,

But do not let a w***e be my crown.

Well, that escalated quickly.
Hahaha, I mean that in a good way.
A weary, cautious and hesitent heart. One that wants to love so dearly, but can't stomache the fear of being torn once more.

A gorgeous tale, if albiet a very sad one.
