A Snapshot of My SneakersA Poem by AGthe shoes depicted in the picture are actually the kind i have and responsible for th creation of this poem. these are Adidas Stan Smiths and are just a delight to wear everyday." /> People compose odes to things that are old But you are far from worn-out Yet I made this poem for you, My dear Adidas shoes. Such a timeless piece, a casual design. All the while, a portrait of myself under my feet.
You dare venture to foreign regions Which I do not have enough courage to explore. And you do not complain Instead you remain faithful to me Like my ambitions and acquaintances.
You sport the incomparable subtlety of white That matches well with my dark denim jeans. Indeed, the most ingenius of accomplices In weaving illusions that suggest that I'm taller than my height.
How noble and gallant are your heels That viciously duel fixtures of asphalt and bubble gum. Insurmountable battles that i would rather not face.
While you accompany me In strolls and chases too numerable to count Such a peculiar perspective you lay eyes upon. I'd gladly sacrifice this panoramic view To see the world as you do.
Reliant and adamant beyond frequent use, I adore you like a friend. As I arrive home and my bed awaits, I take my toes out of your embrace Not even bothering to untie your laces For tomorrow's yet another voyage And I'm simply impatient about knots Because I want to be with you again As swift as time and legs would allow. © 2011 AGFeatured Review
