A Poem by Extant

I have that desire again -
to crack under pressure,
to shatter something fragile
against wall, floor, and
watch the pieces skitter
away from other selves,
amassing vast distances
between unification -
a web of broken -
A desire balanced precariously
by guilt of destruction,
the irreversible separation
of fragments better left
together,
or so I suppose
