Growing Up Can Mean Growing Apart

Growing Up Can Mean Growing Apart

A Poem by QueenofScarlet
"

Sometimes friendships don't last forever

"
Time carries a burden
I know
I grow older everyday

Time carries a question
Whether to go
Or whether to stay

And sometimes time may mean
That we must go
Our separate ways

Growing up can mean growing apart

Dreams they are so fleeting
I know
I have my own to share

So goodness it seems receding
People never seem to
Even care

And truth, what is the meaning?
I hope
You always know I care
But I know

Growing up can mean growing apart

You are gone far away
I am too
Our friendship was blown away
By the truth
Lost in time, lost away
So are you
and me
Goodbye my friend
This is how it must be

Time carries a burden
I know
Time carries a question
I know
And sometimes time may mean
I know
Dreams they are so fleeting
I know
So goodness it seems receding
I know
But don't let it keep you from dreaming

I won't.

Differences ended something fine at the start
You will always have a space in my heart, but
Growing up can mean growing apart
