Other People (a song)

Other People (a song)

A Poem by Nicholas Enloe
"

Song that posts fun at some of the small disappointments of life.

"
I wake up in my bed,
And listen to the news
with hot coffee,
But the words that are being said,
Make each sip sour and lacking.
The airwaves full of verbal debris,
You look so unkind to me.
On my radio and color TV,
You all look unkind to me

In line at the grocery store,
And the woman paying with all pennies,
She gets loud and very sore,
At the checker losing count and trembling.
She's low-paid and made uneasy,
You look like a jerk to me.
On the land and on the sea,
You'd still be a moron to me.

Now I'm driving in my car,
And feeling like I don't even matter,
And I don't get very far,
Till you ride up,
Lights are flashing.
And you're frowning, Can't you see?
That you look like an a*****e to me.
On my bumper. Ee-oo-ee.
You're always an a*****e to me.
