SHOULD'VE COULD'VE WOULD'VE

I should have said,  " I love you" even when I was too scared

I could've said "Hey, my name is..." even if I wasn't dared

I would've said " I like you" if I wasn't such a jerk

But it's too late now he beat me there...all because I went beserk.

 

I shoud've said, " I'm sorry" even if I hate to be wrong

I could've done that too you know, written you a song.

I would've fought for you if I wasn't such a a wimp.

But it's too late now he beat me there...all because I was a pimp.

 

I should've talked more smoothly when I answered your sweet calls.

I could've made an effort to flirt more when I saw you in the halls.

I would've have given you a clue if I wasn't oh so lame.

But it's too late now he beat me there...all because I couldn't say my name.

 

I should've knocked his teeth out even if I had no right

I could've punched him in the gut even if that meant a fight

I would've fought him for you even if I didn't know

But it's too late now he beat me here...and I didn't show.

 

I should've said " I love you" even when I was unsure

I could've but I didn't and now it's all a blurr.

I would've beat him here you know if I had a clue

But it's too late now he said three words... I love you.
