Dissapointed

I wrote this poem when I was dissapointed (duh) and I just wanted to vent on how I felt in that moment.

Disappointment is when you set your standards high,

But don’t reach your goal.

Disappointment is when you thought you did well on a test,

But almost fail.

Disappointment is when someone said you’re going to do something,

But then they cancel on you.

Disappointment is when you see a movie you wanted to see,

But it didn’t turn out to be good.

Disappointment is when your team is winning the last big game,

But then the opposing team comes back to win it.

Disappointment is when that special someone that you like asks you out,

But then say “I think it would be best if we just stayed friends.”

Disappointment is when you fail to satisfy the hopes and expectations of yourself,

But the others around you fail to realize you’ve let yourself down.
