Hiding

A poem about human nature and the way people act.

People have masks they hide behind.

Masks are a way to keep yourself from the outside world.

They find the outside world,

Scary and frightening.

Humans don’t want to let the outside world in,

So they hide from it.

Man kind is scared of being found out,
So they remain secretive and hidden.

Masks protect people from being open.

Openness unites cultures and races,

And if people were open,

There would be less conflict and violence.

This is a good insight into human nature, I think it was well done.

I completely understand what you are saying. Hiding and pretending solves nothing. When people are more people are open and share their lives and knowledge it helps and unites people. You are right on with this poem. Great write...
