From the Grave

From the Grave

A Poem by R.L. Davenport

From your already preexisting grave, you conduct your wretched spell
To destroy yourself and those around, happiness is not what you sell
But to invite misery to your family and friend
Your corrupted soul still alive, running rampant in peoples lives
Death and Decay is what lies ahead, In your preexisting grave.

Some memories and ghost leave their mark on life forever. I don't know if this the desire of the soul in turmoil. A interesting poem. Left me with question and mystery. I wanted to know more. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Arrogant.
Hurt.
Self-righteous.
Maybe even prophetic...?
I am thinking about Peter the apostle here. If we live by the sword, we die by the sword.
Some gothic feel to this well constructed write. Great work.
