Take me as I am ...

Take me as I am ...

A Poem by RReddy

Waiting to be swept, looking for those arms to rest

I await the call for me and not my best

Without it I can survive, but that's my quest

I wish I could fly and find my happiness crest

One who takes me as I am...my soul and flesh

To my heart's core make me feel blessed ...

Warmth of whose words would make me see,

the one in me and who I could be

For whom I did be shackled, who would set me free

And I did find no reason why even sourness would make me love thee

One who takes me as I am...my soul and flesh

I did love thee and let love be my only plea

In the middle of night who could hear me talk

And make little moments seem like a moonlight walk

Whom I did listen and not be a snob

Understand thee, whose thoughts I could chalk

One who takes me as I am...my soul and flesh

In thy soul I could rest even when am in mess

Little drops of care who would help me sought

Would come back to me even when we fought

Whose trust I could break at no cost

For whom bending of ego would seem no loss

One who takes me as I am...my soul and flesh

I still await, I still await...for that moment, that place.
