Poetria's Creed

Poetria's Creed

A Poem by Light
"

Behind the Words...

"

Spare me,
from humanity's greed,
gift me,
a place closer to heaven,
enraptured in the universe's arms
saved, drifting swiftly
My being is warm,
I'm sprinkling like
the calm raindrops.

Release me from
the ground,
higher the spirit,
though, my soul is wounded
still the brightness of my heart
I will sacrifice,
I have a reserve of Love,
where the fountain of affections
ever pounding,
so when the world falls,
I will birth my throbs
for earth, to rise again.

Embrace me,
my faithful entity
and rescue me
from my raging tides,
I breathed the sigh of divinity
from His lips, into my roots
a little He knew
a little He knows
and now I think of me;
Who am I?

I'm a thought;
a thought that feels
that abounds and sings,
You don't have to like my words
or understand,
and how many still are there
dreaming to print my heart,
to affect You
to impress You
how many verses still are there
to love You.

When I'm floated away,
Read me again
and leave heavens
to shed my prayers,
then, emerge me from Joy
in wondrous forms,
and know that Love
isn't in the beauty of my words
but Love is,
in the thumps taking the lead
of my heart, unto Yours
that I'm not the dream,
but the reality
dwells in the miracle of,
Your breathing sound.

Behind the words indeed. I really enjoyed the flow of this piece, which looks beyond the words and what they say about us. No matter the words, we only see an imprint of the person behind them, when they are infinitely more than the brief moments we feel your words.
I think we have grown so used to instant gratification, that it is almost impossible for anyone to have time to see what is behind the pen.
Pity really. We never learn.
Beautifully penned, thought provoking write.

What a wonderful heartfelt piece, delivered so sincerely, little butterfly. I could feel the warmth and intensity with which these words were written. You shine with every passionate word you place on page. A re read is sure but I must applaud your genius...again

Your poem is incredibly lyrical & heartfelt, like a melody for one's divine leader. The part of your message that appeals to me is toward the beginning, as you describe "surrender" in terms that could be about leaving this planet in the flesh . . . or it could be about learning to let go of the earthly drudgery that gets us all down from time to time & learning to soar above it all. My only slight dip in interest came during the last stanza . . . I'm not a big fan of generalized love expressions in poetry, so I sorta drifted off at that point, where your message felt a teensy bit less fresh & inventive (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I've to say....This kind of poetry is one of my faves! Smooth, coaxing, love filled and always provides an amazing read...
The thing I love the most here is you were not lost in imagination but sticking at realism...thanks for this wonderful read dear Light angel! **Love and hugs** ♡♡

When you talk about love lock stock and barrel, these words would be just that. "How many verses are there to love You", I would guess that would be as many as it takes to describe every grain of sand in the ocean and on the beaches until one grows tired. Full of emotion and romance...loved it!
