Selfish Portraits part 3

Selfish Portraits part 3

A Poem by Rac7hel

Sweet at first
and always smiling,
Lift your lips and say you love me.
Yes I know you're all about me,
Wouldn't live a day
without me.

Lay another finger on me.
Tell me that you'd love
to meet her.
Love me better
when I'm with her.
Sweet becomes
a little bitter.

Frozen over for the winter,
Blurred reflections never smiling.
Purse your lips and walk on by me.
Leave me now
and never find me.
