Magic is in the Eye of the Beholder

Magic is in the Eye of the Beholder

A Poem by Satan's Daughter

You long for magic
Don't lie, I can see it in your eyes
You want to fly
To see the future
To cup fire in the palm of your hand
You think you are plain
Because you don't wield the universe

But you hold a different kind of magic
A magic more powerful than any force
A magic that defies both life and death

When you dream,
I watch your mind soar through the heavens
Off fighting dragons and erecting monuments in their honor
You part the clouds,
Proving again that nothing but your own imagination stands in your way

When you dream,
The future cascades from your lips
Bright bubbles filled with adventure and a desire for more
They fall, brick by brick,
Into a path lined with opportunities and roses

When you dream,
Your visions light a fire in those around you
Your sense of adventure, of life, of love
Are infectious
You burn through life
And God help anyone caught in your path

So don't you dare tell me you aren't magical
When I can see the world in your eyes
