The Last Goodbye

This the last goodbye

I know it seems so strange that the same person you once swore you

spend forever with is now just a memory of pain

I’d do anything to fix the broken pieces of our love

But I fear that it just won’t be enough….

Too much hurt has been dealt from both opposing teams

when we said we were as one

But how could we be when we built us up without respect and no

 supporting beams

And when all is said and done I remember the laughs that we shared but

laughter can’t

compare to the sadness that we layered 

and layers upon layers we started keeping score our words saying we

forgave one another for the mistakes and faults that we both bore

But for years and years we ignored the truth we ignored all the signs

We kept pushing and pulling till there was nothing left to hold onto

Yet still we kept on digging deeper and deeper now we have created

Something so precious and sweet yet born into turmoil because we were

So weak , to keep away from each other like we both know that we

should do

yet even now I think of you and still believe its true that I wish we were

 Meant to be or maybe even that you weren’t you and I wasn’t me.
