The Curtain Call

I strut my way across the stage

The music blasts and the crowd sways

I beam as I dance my heart out

One day I will dance no more

The music will cease to play

The cheers will fade into the background

I choose to live my time out now

These are the best days of our lives

Young with laughter and smiles

Still somehow

We stay in the shadows of the stage

While another dancer leads the way

I never get a chance to prove myself

Turn and twirl the night around

Live my dreams through my spinning toes

Hear the applause and let it out

For life is but a stage show

Spinning toes,

Tears of joy,

The lights go out forever now.

this is very bittersweet, the last line feels to me like a door closing, with a resounding thud. i like it.

Oh! I think I like this better than the other ones! I like the way this one shows how fast something can end, so embrace it while you can. Atleast that's what I got from this... I like the way you explain the crowd and the lights, and just the overall atmosphere of performing.
