Loads !

Loads !

A Poem by Raghib

It's all in my mind,
Is that what you have to say.
A trick played by,
Those darkened voids in my soul.
Try carrying my burdens,
Then will you come to know.
Why my shoulders are slumped,
Sweat sticking on my brow.
Then I will be the one mocking,
"Why do you wish to be strong"?
And you will be quiet then,
Guilt restricting your voice to come out.
Give back the load oh stranger !
For I do not intend to play Atlas.
I carry my burdens on my own,
Even the one's I yearn to throw.
Like the one you gave me today,
A gift box marked criticism.

Author's Note

Raghib
For all those who think being depressed and sad is nothing but our thoughts. Well that includes me too. But some months ago I would have had totally been able to relate to this writing. But now I cannot do that.
Just thoughts ! Maybe I am wrong . Who knows ?

Has the sound of a domestic squabble. The speaker apparently has had enough of criticism and wants more support. Hope it doesn't end violently.

PS: in the third line from the end, you don't need an apostrophe in the third word.

You aren't wrong. You actually pointed it right.
Sadness or depression consumes us and It's really essential to groom upwards from these tainted feelings

I enjoyed the poem. I liked the description used.
"For I do not intend to play Atlas.
I carry my burdens on my own, "
The above lines are classic. Thank you Raghib for sharing the amazing poetry.

You are not wrong... Everything..pain,love,grief,dissapointment or even joys... They all inside our mind n not reality... They are all ephemeral

Definitely
Well articulated, man..
I'm like this most of the times but then I think they're just the thoughts. I try to smile in the face of my Loads.. sometimes they disappear, sometimes not.
So frazzling, fighting one's own demons

I'd dedicate this to a section of people in the world who have got to do nothing but in world than doing criticism! But thanks for writing this and give a loads of mock to them in impact poem.

Very deep reflection on thoughts. I really liked the way you have expressed the minute details what one goes through. Loved the last line.
