A Desperate Prayer

A Desperate Prayer

A Poem by Petals & Pearls

Dear God I hope you'll hear me

And listen to my cry
Forever I cannot be here
And here I want not die

Stretch down your hand from heaven
And stop the lion’s mouth
Guide me out of Egypt
For I know not north or south

Make a way where there's none to be found
For a miracle I could use
Please help me find my path, oh Lord
I know not what to choose

Like the lyrical syle-- definately singable.
Made me think of the scripture-- Luke 11:9
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you."

Enjoyable read-- thanks for sharing your work here.
