My Composer

My Composer

A Poem by Rainee Whiting

My Composer

Its construction exquisite,

intricate detail in each thought.

Solid and hollow surface,

strings tied in a peculiar knot.

Curves cut into shape,

an instrument few would know,

then before it he would stand,

his curiosity would grow.

Gentle in his grip,

he pulled the piece in tight.

Cautious fingers played,

until the tone was right.

Its construction exquisite,

unafraid he pushed his stroke,

vibrations brought to life,

the beauty in each note.

Rainee

A song written in a moment of intimacy is the most tantalizing music to compose.

Wow, you've written this brilliantly! I love the way the composer's hands meticulously shape to her body.

..just lovely, Rainee!
