Upon receiving a text from a foreign female

Upon receiving a text from a foreign female

A Poem by Ras Kibo
"

the greatest worth is in contemplation

"

What are we all so affraid of?

That someone will think there is a double entendre to our kindness

I feel gutless paralyzed ashamed of my cowardly ways

I claim to be a goodhearted man but get by with mere smiles and « good days »

There is so much more when the door is truly open

Teach me sweet Jesus I beg you in the name of El Shaddai

Throw away my concerns and let the heart be my guide

Those who may plot to find my true meaning

Let them be met with a beam of light

There is no denial

Open me up

Should I spite my family?

Is that the message from Elijah?

Sacrifice my children?

What is time?

Fingertips tap on keys

Music is in my thoughts

I shall try to combat idleness and put good to work in due time

All the time

Every man struggles.
