From Cradle To Grave

From Cradle To Grave

A Poem by Raven Starhawk

Seeds of wisdom

Entombed in oppressive soil

Bare mangled fruits

When they are ill warranted

By those who rather consume lies

And breed illogical pipedreams

To further live in denial

And the newborn has her season

Only to follow life’s rules…

…mature and slowly decay...

While holding onto those fairytales

Of existence after existence
