Musical Survivor

Musical Survivor

A Poem by Silent Serenity also known as Raven Shadows
"

Created differently from all the rest, this story will tell it the best!

"

She grew up in a tough household right from the very start

She struggled to become visible, to be loved from the heart

Her passion became clear from the young age of four

She wasn't just your typical little girl next door

She had a gift like no other to share with the world around

She wanted to let people feel her love & refused to be held down

Determination at such a young age is what kept her spirit alive

As she grew older she felt her passion start to begin and thrive

Her household fell apart and she was moved to safer grounds

She was encouraged with love to proceed with her magical sounds

Her beautiful voice sounded so much like an angels call

She knew she would practice with perfection, for the long haul

Finally, at the age of sweet 16 her dream of loving music took a turn

She finally believed her dream was coming true & she was ready to learn

Someone out there was finally ready to listen to her beautiful voice

Knowing her life up till then was hard, but singing was her choice

Her encouragement drove her to a new beginning of musical bliss

Then all she heard was rushing sounds all around & suddenly a hiss

Now details are not necessary for all will reveal itself in time

For what happened next is completely unthinkable & a true crime

Bright flashing lights with sounds so far in the distance

She felt a strong heaviness from a stranger of persistence

As she desperately grasped to any sound, only silence was heard

A cloth of white now lying still, a voice now never to sing a word

Now this could be the saddest story you've ever read

But her life actually begins with a joyful promise ahead

With no more struggles to be loved from the heart

Her beautiful voice with her dreams is only the start

For even thou her gift will not be shared with the world below

She realizes she will be given the greatest honor and so.....

Her life may have not reached the young age of seventeen

But now she sings for the angels & at the age of sixteen

They have told me that some people come for a season or for a reason or for something else this and that. However, sometimes a prodigy is given to us with talent and charms like no other before them, they grace us with their talent but they teach us something more profound. What I see in this poem is more of what I have been thinking about for the past few days.

The ending of the poem is perfect for it goes with how life should be lived. So many claim to believe, we profess it, we claim it, we even preach to others how to believe in a higher power. Yet we don't live it. People will think this poem is sad and it isn't it is a celebration of life. For she went for her dreams and that is a huge step as most just dream without action. Just because she almost got there we have to realize it was her faith that carried her trhough to sing for the highest chior on or above earth. What an honor she received because she was dedicated and she had faith. Beautiful write.

People have certain talents that others don't have. They teach us many things that we never could and bring a brighter solution to all with their charm and enthusiasm with what they love. I love this poem even though as it continues it becomes a sad story with her being at peace. But heaven gained a talent that no one appreciates nowadays and I believe that to be the best life lesson of all.

At the start of this I thought that this was going to be about how music saved someone's life. But on the contrary..it led them to her murder. It really took a twist. One that I did not at all expect. But the ending was beautiful "Her life may not have reached the young age of seventeen. But now she sings for the angels & at the age of sixteen."
Beautiful write! Loved it
