Midnight Walk

Midnight Walk

A Poem by Raven Wyntermoon

Warm Chill; standing beside you.

Smoke descending from your breath.

I feel it too.

Grasp my hand cause I wanna grasp yours.

Another pebble in my chest, adding onto the already heaviness that I’m carrying.

No words.

No need.

We both know.

A span in someone's life, slowed, considered, relished. We should do these things more often, especially when in the company of others. Lives change. And as we say, life is short. I like writing that make these moments visible and comprehensible, even cherished, when it may have been but a few minutes in the whole of an existence. Nice!
