All Is Well Within My Soul

All Is Well Within My Soul

A Poem by Matthew Soliguen

In my despair,
As I weep and kneel,
Broken in heart,
and my faith sealed,
when skies are gray,
and I lose control,
all is well, all is well within my soul,

For my God watches over me,
In stormy trials, You're all I see,
My comforter, when I doubt thee,
I stray my path, yet you run to me,
This worthless life, you've made anew,
Now filled with joy, I worship you,
your holy ghost works through my life,
I shall know not pain, nor grief or strife.
And when I break, you piece me back,
You fill my heart with what it lacks,
though demons curse, and take their toll,
all is well, all is well within my soul.
Shackled in chains, of life and death,
You brought salvation with your last breath,
And when you died, I do believe,
You shed your blood, that we may live
Never again, shall I stand lone,
I kneel upon thy golden throne,
and heaven sings, when I return
No longer shall I fear Hell's endless burn
And this world holds my greatest fear,
They turn to me, and they draw near,
I listen well, and here your call,
All is well, all is well within my soul.
I've been set free, I'm not afraid,
I've been renewed, I've been remade,
No longer shall I be alone,
I stand with God, till he calls me home........
